NEWSRGT Proceeds with Additional Contracts for 'SIRBOT' Serving Robot in Overseas Markets

RGT, a company specializing in service robot solutions, announced on the Nov 6 that additional contracts and installations for its AI autonomous serving robot 'SIRBOT' are underway in four countries, including Brazil and Venezuela.

According to the company, SIRBOT, developed with 100% South Korean technology and currently deployed in 12 countries, is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets with recent additional contracts in four countries. SIRBOT is set to be further introduced in local food brands, large supermarkets, department stores, and restaurants in these overseas markets.

An RGT representative stated, "While the businesses currently in the process of adoption differ in country and industry, they are commonly focusing on providing customers with differentiated experiences by utilizing SIRBOT's multimedia advertising and promotional functions, going beyond simple serving."

SIRBOT features complete autonomous navigation technology using LiDAR sensors and 3D cameras, with patented technology that is not affected by sunlight, lighting, or transparent materials. It has also secured various international certifications and patents, including European CE certification, preparing for overseas expansion. RGT participated in 'IFA 2024' held in Germany last September, following last year's participation, as part of its overseas market strategy.

In June, the Trade Commission of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy estimated that Chinese-made serving robots account for 70-80% of the South Korean market share and began preparing measures to protect the domestic serving robot industry. Along with these government movements, RGT stated, "We have secured competitiveness through continuous technology development and efforts to enter the global market," and added, "We aim to further increase the proportion of overseas sales by 2025."

They emphasized, "We plan to lead the global service robot market by expanding into various service areas beyond simple serving," and "We will do our best to be recognized as a case that proves the competitiveness of South Korean products based on technological prowess, even amid the offensive of low-priced Chinese products."
